(ハナビ) is a Japanese word that either means a sea of flowers or a burst
of fireworks. Those who are into Japanese culture would probably also
know it's a film by Takeshi.
The blooming of sakuras is one of the great events to watch out for if you want to visit Japan. Though you must be there at the right time. Come to early, and there's no sakuras to see. Come too late, and the green leaves would have sprouted, ruining the colours.
This is one of the first pictures I took when I got my Canon 70-200 f/4L. It's was at the ruins of an ancient castle in Kyushu. It's part of a turbulent history in which many castles were pulled down to cement the Emperor's power.
