Ripe, Rich, Red

A basket of ripe tomatoes taken during the summer. I'm not sure about you, but I'm of the opinion that those "things" they sell in Tesco aren't real tomatoes. The look like them, but they don't taste like them. The fibre is there, but all flavour is missing. Just cross over in continental Europe for a meal, and you'll immediately notice the difference. I think it's a cunning ploy to make us buy the more expensive organic premium products.

Do you guys eat organic food? Do you care what you eat? Or is an economy egg the same as an organic egg? It all comes out of a chicken anyway.

organic food??? Dude nothing is organic anymore and I don't more money for "oragnic" stuff
Ade:You bought Tosin's very organic Scentolive. It's truly organic, she knows the Olive grove owner too.

Organic, well it depends it, there are some organics that I will definitely buy like eggs. Non organic eggs have been tampered with. I don't want unhealthy eggs.

Tomatoes and the sun shine. it's a little taste of summer winkWhen you say organic food; i must to understand biologic food ?
Could be sharper, never-the-less nice!
I'd heard that in pushing farmers to go organic it is just encouraging some to use old chemical methods long abandoned rather than completely excluding chemicals. To be organic they only have to avoid particular chemicals, not all chemicals/pesticides. Some of the older stuff not on the list is in fact worse!
Very colorful picture!
Yes, when I have the choice I go organic!

This is a great shot. I had to go out and buy a tomato.

Please duane dont put up pictures of food again. Its difficult enough stealing time to look at your photoblog at work. Then leaving office and arriving with a tomato - try explain that to your boss.
Thanks for the comments everyone. It's nice to hear all your responses. In fact, I've just eaten 2 free range eggs today (microwaved them). But now with bird flu coming soon to a chicken near you, I'm not so sure if free range and organic are better now. They say that outdoor birds have a higher risk of catching the flu.

Ade: I don't suppose you've done any cooking with the ScentOlive yet wink

jlc: organic in this context, I hope, means non-genetically modified, and also no use of chemicals or pesticides to aid growth. Organic eggs probably mean no antibotic injections or hormones (this I really hope since I wouldn't like to have my eggs grown in manure).

Borah: LOL. You really crack me up! smile
