Quiz: What am I?

I'm made of metal. You can find me outdoors. What am I?

Answer: A lot of you came really close to guessing it. This is a collapsible metal table, you can just about see the legs in the background through the holes in the thatched pattern. I spotted it in an outdoor cafe in Canterbury. Congrats to Nkemo and Micki for getting it right!

Update: I'm current moving house, and it's chaotic. Won't be able to post any new photos until next week. In the mean time, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Easter.

Update 2: Sorry it's taking me so long to get back online. I'm having a nightmare with BT. The new phone landline they connected for my new flat has the previous owner's broadband still attached. It takes 10 working days to get it removed, then another 10 days to get my own broadband installed on the phone line. So 20 working days without internet!

I think so too. Nice shot btw...
Nice abstract, Daune. I like the BW tones and the line here. Regards, Brent

Nope, not another Boston hotel full of windows. I'll go along with the others and plump for a garden bench (too long for a chair).

I love the composition and focussing. My kind of thing.
Nice shot of a reperating pattern, made interesting by the DOF
really love it smile
I like the choice of subject but am finding the clarity of the background (the bit through the mesh) just very slightly distracting. I think I've preferred your shots when you have a slightly more defined point of focus but it is still a very good shot. smile
lol, just read the comment you wrote @ guilherme's blog,
that picture of me with my kiev is pretty neat,

and yes, the kiev i have i guess was made by sober technicians
BTW, that is a chair?

Duane, where you at?
The Maven: Thanks for asking where I went Brent.. I've been having big problems getting broadband installed at my new flat. When I got my "new" phone line, the number still had the previous owner's broadband connection attached. And I can't get my own broadband until it's been first removed. That takes 10 working days. Only after that can I get my own broadband installed - and that takes another 10 working days. *sigh*

In the mean time, I can surf only a little from my college. And I spend most of that time working on improving and tweaking the code that Shutterchance runs on. BTW, would you be interested in joining us at Shutterchance?
We'll still be here when ya get back. Good Luck!

20 days without internet?! That's like the worst kind of torture known to man! Hee hee. At least for me... I'm awaiting your return!

Anyway, about the shot. The background is still rather distracting even though it's kinda blurred out (the black lines running all over). But otherwise, good eye for the pattern. =^)

smile Nice to hear all is well, hehe, at least you HAVE a time diagram, in Greece, you apply for broadband, and you are at the mercy of the company, it may take from 2-3 weeks (usually a month) to 2-3 months!! And in the end, its possible, you get a phonecall, "eee sorry, you cant have broadband in your area" !!!! grin
