The underside of a traditional Japanese umbrella I chanced upon at the Japanese Association club in Singapore. We actually went to the Japanese Association for a tea ceremony, but the umbrella proved to be best shot I snagged that day. Just goes to show you never know when or where you'll find a "Shutterchance"!
This was taken with the trusty old Panasonic TZ3, which due to it's handy size is conveniently in my wife's handbag everywhere she goes. The TZ3 is far from being the latest technology, but still an excellent tool. I think the spokes and intricate weave do all the talking. It's almost a zen art in itself, there's really not much for me to say.
