This was taken the day after the wedding - when I was a little more sobber. When I think of France, I often think of these kind of windows and wrought iron balconies with intricate patterns. It's very stereotypical, but it really does give French cities a certain distinctive character to them. The faded colours and slightly delapidated state of the windows and walls reminds you that this is the old world, which is full of history and doesn't need the artificialities of paint to do the talking for them.

Update: I'm having a presentation and a rates test on the 18th, so no new photo for the day. Sorry!

I seem to agree with James, maybe monochrome (maybe) may look better with a tad of contrast
