Shot this octopus in the aquarium in Barcelona. This guy was attached to the wall of the tank, which was dark blue. With a bit of retouching, I managed to black out the background. Unfortunately, it's a bit grainy, as it was rather dark in there. No other touching up was done - the colours are from the default settings (they are not quite purple until cooked!).
No flash was used. In fact, the aquarium doesn't allow visitors to take photos with flash. Someone just before me had used a flash, and the octopus was visibly agitated. It kept moving around and wasn't happy at all.
