A railing in a shopping arcade in Canary Wharf (towards the Heron Quay DLR station). I still can't figure out what it's purpose is. The railing doesn't actually go anywhere - it's just a loop that goes up to the ceiling and back down again. Together with the wooden panels behind it, I thought it would make a good abstract composition. But come to think of it, even in reality it's already a pretty abstract construction.

This was taken at ISO200 on the Sony Ericsson K800i camera phone. The issue here isn't so much noise grain, but the aliasing along the diagonal lines (stepped effect) - though it might look ok if made into a print. Resizing for the computer screen really didn't help much in that respect.
